Small Human

Matthew was watching the ever so stupidly funny movie Major Payne the other day when McKenna walked in and responded to what she saw. Her little mind saw the young boys in uniform and especially the one who is really little (probably about 4 years old) and she said, "What?! Small humans aren't suppose to fight!" I laughed and asked her if she was a small human, she is.

Can you fit your fist?

So, the other night at dinner we were talking about the dentist. He made the comment that Jocilyn had a small mouth and McKenna has a mouth with plenty of room... what's that? Kenna has a big mouth? ... Nooooo..... Anyway, so then Matthew says he thinks he remember that aunt Lynn can fit her fist in her mouth... so here are the "I want to be like Lynn" pics... We love you aunt lynn-a-gin!

Most likely to ...

...be the favorite cell mate! I got into the shower the other day and found that the girls had taken about 15 or so washcloths and tied them end to end. They'd taken this little contraband rope and flung it over the shower door. Maybe they were desperate to get out and forgot how to slide open the shower door. Desperate times, desperate measures... I don't know. I do know this: if you ever find yourself imprisoned, you'll be hoping for a cell mate with such genius!! I took pictures, but I have a rogue photo program on my computer and it heisted the pics as soon as they were downloaded- I tried to download them onto picasa (which is my usual picture program) and the memory card had been wiped clean. It's alright though because i'm sure your imagination can conjure up a right fine image of my little escape artists!!!

Halloween Headline

Tooth Fairy goes Toothless for Halloween... breaking news

Jocilyn has had 2 loose teeth for a while now, her bottom front 2. Yesterday she went to the dentist for a toothache and he pulled the one that hurt her, plus one of the loose ones along with its neighbor in order to make room for the permanant tooth that had already emerged behind. Total teeth extracted? 3 yesterday. There will be an additional 3 next week (same deal other side of the mouth). Then the plan is to make her a "space holder" so that the remaining teeth don't fall into the open spaces before it's time. All of this pulling seemed pretty aggressive, but Dr. Ririe (who is also our bishop) said she just doesn't have room in her little mouth and there will likely be more pulling in later years. His other plan is to do a "frenectomy" (Kenna will eventually have to have this done as well). What is it you ask? Well, you know how my wee ones have that gap between their top front teeth? I've come to find it really cute- but it's gonna take up space that they are going to need for teeth- so the doc will cut the tissue in order to let that gap close... they are in for so much fun. McKenna goes in tomorrow for x-rays and cleaning. We are having dental fun at our house!

Here are my little fairies!!! It's trunk or treat in Star! Jocilyn is the Tooth Fairy, McKenna is a Fairy Princess... I think we had fun!
Some kid just head butted my door with a group of overaged trick or treaters... I wasn't real kind about it- called him an idiot- all of his friends apologized FOR him... what a moron. He said to me when i asked who hit my door instead of knocking, "ummmm.... man my head hurts from hitting it!" I'm like, "Uh, I don't feel bad for you- idiot. Nice example for my kids... " was that too harsh? I don't care- except now we'll probably get egged or t.p.'d... Kids these days-

Oh! That pushes my buttons!

McKenna has long had a "tell" for when she is tired. Some kids rub their eyes and get cranky. Some might just pass out wherever they are... McKenna, however, plays with her belly button. She has done this from before age one I'm sure. Her grandpa use to put a bandaid over her belly button to keep her from it because simply put- it's plain ol' freaky to see.
Random note... it's freezing here and she is in this (only inside... i'm not that retarded of a mother).... She keeps saying, "thank goodness we keep it warmer in our home!"

This is the "tired twist."

Yesterday as she ate her lunch with one hand her other was twisting her belly button. I said to her, "you're tired, huh?" she quickly pulled her hand away from her tummy and up by her head as if to say, "I don't know what you're talking about." She knows it gives her away, but just can't help doing it. Here are some pics of the little stink bug... she is to cute!!!

A few new (old) pics

Our little family went camping not to long ago at a place called "Givens Hot Springs"... here are some pics... I'm ready to go again!
Mom and dad (Grandma Dianne and Grandpa LeGrand) came up for one of the days...
...good times. The swimsuits are because there is a pool that is filled by the natural hot spring water... very, very warm... more like a HUGE hot tub... the kids loved it.

Is he relaxed?... or did he forget how to relax... hmmmm.....
I finally finished last years Harry Potter- now I'm only one behind the rest of the world... but i have joined with all of you other "Twilight" fans... I've read all 3 of those and started Marie and my mother in law on them as well... Leneita should finish the 3rd by tomorrow night- she picked it up from me today... addicting...
Jocilyn and daddy in the kitchen of the trailer....

Another graceful move while camping... only I could do this while cleaning up in the trailer... it still pops, crackles and hurts to flex/stretch.
So- new posts on each blog... i need to choose one and eliminate the other so that there isn't so much maintenance... but i love both names- and someday the girls can use it more for themselves anyway- probably sooner than later given that they are faster at this computer thing than i am...
Love you all!

Back to school

Mom got to take me to school and go in late to work... that made her happy. She says 1st grade is harder for a mom than kindergarten, she got "teary," i guess because i'll be gone all day now... I'm pretty excited, and i wore my tennis shoes on purpose today so that i can chase the boys!!!
This year i ride the bus to AND from school. I'm excited to do that, see Hunter in front of me? He rides the same bus- but he only stays a half a day so he's not on my bus going home. The first day of school i rode the bus to my grandma Lenita's, but it wasn't the right bus, and so they took me back to the school and my aunt Marie picked me up because my mom was at work. She (mom) freaked out about it, took her blood pressure and it was high- she was thankful Marie could help and i was safe. Now we know the right bus for "grandma days."
On the playground with friends!!
When the bell rings I line up along the wall by my classroom door......
McKenna was excited to come with mom and take me to school, she gets to go next year to kindergarten.
